Welcome to Polar Tool Polar Tool, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, was founded in 1986 as the creation of two former partners from Machine Tool Supply Inc. They wanted something to do to keep themselves busy, and keep themselves out of their wives hair, when they retired. The company grew from 300 square feet to it's current 7500 square feet containing anything to do with a machine shop. Our specialty, if there is one, is new and used microscopes and inspection equipment. We have literally tons of new, reground, and used cutting tools. We stock new and used lathe chucks, drill chucks, and arbors. We have a large selection of new and used vertical and horizontal milling machine arbors. A huge selection of plain plug and ring gauges and thread plug and ring gauges is also available. We have on hand micrometers up to thirty inch, and calipers up to sixty inch. We have hundreds of new and used microscopes and accessories. Although we are striving to represent as much of our product as possible online, we have far more here then we could ever hope to list on this site.
